Who Am I?

God said, “I am that I am” I wondered what that entails Hoping that my reason would eventually prevails Bit my nails, scratched my head Yet, no answer to be fed I think, it is the greatest mystery That filled my heart and mind with misery I lifted my eyes to the sky, And wondered, who am I?

A thought ran through my mind, Slowly my query started to unwind. I can know God only if I know myself, Opening up the knowledge of oneself. I search my inner being, To my surprise I started seeing. I saw Love, and I realized I am love, Hence, God is love. I again wondered, who am I?

There is a South African saying, “Ubuntu”, I am because we are. It is a celebration of humanity, Dispelling all spaces of insanity. God exists in Trinity, Living together in eternity. Opening our eyes to see the opportunity, That there is strength in unity. And finally call out, and shout that I am God.
